Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts:
Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts is a charter school located in Fort Worth, Texas.
This school started as a private school for the Texas Boys Choir. Over the years the need to expand led the board of Directors
to look at opening a charter school. This happened in 2001 and it opened the doors to a 3rd - 12th grade campus. The campus
offers rigorous academic classes as well as visual arts, vocal, dance and theatrical classes. The school petitioned the state
to go from a petition only charter school to a audition only charter school. Every student who wants to attend FWAFA has to
audition and be invited to attend. The competition is very stiff.
